Rabbi Jhos Singer, Part 2

We have one more offering and after that Achi Ben-Shalom will be offering a piece of the Jewish liturgy that is traditionally sung or chanted at a loss like this. Kyle was also profoundly connected to his Judiasm and we want to honor that by including as many of those elements in this ceremony as possible. Many of these rituals are things that all people share, and I hope that it is of comfort for all of here.

Immediately after that song, we are going to open up the floor for a brief time, much shorter than we would like, but we have a lot that we have to do today. So, what we would ask is that anybody who feels that this is really the one and only and right place to offer a few words, just come down to this side of the stage and we will accommodate as many people as possible who want to speak or offer something. But the families have asked very, very deeply that what they would love more than anything else, after this afternoon’s graveside service, is for those of you who can, come back to the house and at that time to have unlimited time to just share stories and memories and be together without there being the time constraint that we are facing this morning. We will close these readings and these offerings with a poem that Persis wrote.
